In alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, we are proud to partner with the Dance Trust of Zimbabwe by erecting a stage for the annual Starlight Dance event held in Avondale, Harare. This initiative not only highlights the importance of dance in promoting physical activity, mental health, and overall well-being but also supports efforts to teach dance to underprivileged communities. Through these programs, we aim to reduce stress, deter youths from substance abuse, and foster a healthier, more vibrant community.
We are committed to integrating sustainability into our Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. In addition to our core construction activities, we are enhancing our focus on environmental sustainability and social responsibility, particularly in agricultural practices. This includes supporting projects like the Harare Beitbridge Highway Rehabilitation initiative, where we cleared three hectares of land for sustainable wheat planting at Mushandike High School in Masvingo, contributing to both local food security and responsible land use in line with prevailing climate conditions.
Our organisation is excited to continue advancing educational infrastructure by building another classroom block at Katawa Primary School in Ngezi in collaboration with Karo Mine. This initiative reflects our commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance principles, emphasising community development and educational support. The construction, which began in 2024, is estimated for completion in April 2025. Following the successful completion of a double classroom block at Kwirire Primary School in Chimanimani, we are proud to further enhance local education in the Ngezi area through this partnership.
We commemorated the 2024 International Day of the Girl by visiting Tsungayi Primary School in Highfield, Harare. During this visit, a group of female members conducted an interactive session with the students, demonstrating that gender does not define one’s potential or dreams. This initiative aligns with the Social category of Environmental, Social, and Governance principles, as it fosters gender equality and empowers young girls to pursue their aspirations without limitations.
