An application was made to the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange to defer the publication of the financial results for the year ended 31 December 2023. The Group was granted a dispensation, and the financial results will be published on or before 5 April 2024.

The delay in the publication of the financial results was necessitated by the need to perform additional verification procedures following the change in functional currency in the current period from Zimbabwe dollars to United States dollars.

2022 concluded in a celebratory spirit upon the Group reaching five million LTI free man-hours.  Zero Lost Time Injuries were recorded in the year.  Further, the award by NSSA of two gold shields for outstanding safety performance in the construction sector, covering Harare and Masvingo regions, at the Safety & Health at Work commemorations held at Victoria Falls in October 2022 was another feather in the cap.

We attribute this record-breaking milestone to the safety culture that permeates company wide. Our employees’ and other stakeholders’ safety remains top priority, Zero Harm being our inspirational goal.

Masimba is certified to the ZWS ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System and is committed to the protection of biodiversity.

Road construction involves the destruction of trees and bushes when creating detours, gravel borrow pits and, in the case of dualized sections, new lanes. In line with the project’s Environmental Management Plan and the Group’s pursuance of sustainable development, our Harare Beitbridge Road team partnered with the Forestry Commission, Environmental Management Agency of Zimbabwe, National Social Security Authority, and the Zimbabwe Republic Police in planting 2,000 trees in Gokomere on 10 December 2022.

Masimba plant trees every quarter of the year.
